Nancy Jo Winkler, FNP-C was born in Riverton but raised in the rural area of Cody, Wyoming. She has been a long time committed resident of Cody and Powell community with family and business interests. Nancy began her journey as a trained EMT volunteer with the Washakie County EMS Program from 1987-1989. In 1989 working as a Nursing Assistant in the Washakie CountyHospital until 1991, advancing to became a Registered Nurse. Nancy worked not only on the medical floor, but also as a certified OB/GYN nurse at the Cody Regional Health/West Park Hospital (CRH). Her nursing career includes being aHome Health nurse and a Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence care nurse. She initiated and oversaw the Wound Care Program for CRH over a period of 20 years.In 2015, Nancy graduated from Walden University earning her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified. Currently employed with Powell Valley Health Care (PVHC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine. Nancy’s medical career that has spanned over three decades and we here at Wound Care of Wyoming are proud to have Nancy part of our team. She will be seeing patients in the Powell outreach clinic starting January 5, 2026. Nancy and her family calls Cody home.
